I have an 1835 that I am freshening up. I had a W100 cam in it and the following combination:
-1835cc
-8.5 comp
-Berg SS intake
-Stock valve size heads, light clean up
-1.1:1 rockers
-1-3/8" header
-34-3 with a 28.5mm venturi
-SVDA distributor
I am thinking I could go with something a bit more aggressive for a cam and potentially make the vac advance lighter, if it does not operate properly. Other option is just go with dual carbs, of course, but either way I would like to keep the vac advance for highway cruising.
Thanks!

Not without killing the idle or go fancy on the cam. (and even then the idle and low rpm behaviure will suffer)
And if you do you will need more compression too. |

Cb2239? Has only 2 degrees more duration than w100. Pretty popular |

I just got a new cb2239, and the cam card says 244deg. @.050" :?
I like the cb2232. I think the 2239 would be a little to much now.

With that carb I would not change the cam |

Yeah, I'd love to see that. |

More like MY ignorance! It's the more streamlined internally "super stock" intake from ACN. |
