Hi Guys

I know his was discussed before

I decided to try it and I think it was successful

I Got a piece of off cut staimless 19mm ID X 25MM OD Tubing free of charge from a local engineering shop

19x25mm shims from a nut and bolt centre for around $3 and went about doing this .

Some of you might have a go at me for retainingvthe end retaining clips and the engineering shop was not prepared to cut ,tap and drill them for me

I did the same thing on both of my engines. Working good so far.

Mcmaster carr has some very nice shims. German made, good stuff

You can safety the wire ends closed or use snap rings that fit the groove.

Thank ,I didnt even think of Snap rings or circlips

Yes, McMaster Carr will not ship to me in Canada either. A US Samba member bought them and shipped them to me.
