Hi Guys

Initially Iwas going to build a 1776cc from scratch with some go fast parts ,however I recently bought an 1835cc with some good go fast bits for an extremely good price (ZAR8500) +- $400.

I've stripped it down and all is good on the inside .I am keeping the short block as is but I'm swapping the 92s( thin walls) for 90.5s. Here's what it is

As41 case fullflowed
Forged CW Crank
CB 2242 cam
CB Big foot lifters
Chromoly pushrods
Melling 30mm oil Pump
Empi 1.25 forged rockers
041 Heads (39×32)
Cb Deep sump

Only parts I'm providing is the heads and 90.5s everything else came with the engine

What you opinions

Dump the 30mm pump and put a 26mm.

why not just get thickwall 92s that fit into a 90.5 case register? 1835cc is mo' bedda

Just have to machine the heads for 94s.

Back in the hippy era my friend Joyce used to park her Bug by the road and walk up to her cabin. Some freak pulled everything but the fan shroud off the top of her engine, yanked it out of her Bug and then left it in the dirt likely for lack of more hippies to help lift into their Bus.

One might say Joyce's engine combination had been changed.

Of course I put everything back on her engine even raiding my stash to replace missing parts.

O.P., it sounds like you'll end up with a fun engine and a more fun engine. If I gathered up enough parts for two engines I'd build two engines.

Not easy getting those parts in South Africa.
Ehen you do get them it's quite expensive. Going to cost me more than the cost of my engine to go 94mm
