Can a Super Beetle's gas tank be modified for the fitting required by this system's pump/filter/line combo unit?

Not really.

I recently installed an in-tank pump into my super beetle tank centred over the low point at the front of the tank where the original pick up is located.

Could you just add in a 'T' to the line to the filter/pump ? Just don't use the threaded one supplied and return the fuel to the 'fuel in' side.....pre filter.

I have to modified the fuel pump assembly and use the 75-79 super beetle fuel tank.

Thanks for the pictures, AMS. What did you do w/the threaded end of the original pump assembly? That's the one item not visible in your pics.

I'm guessing he didn't use it. Just took a hose to each of the tank connections.

I removed it since it was designed for a standard Beetle/Bus fuel tank. I also removed the threaded part and replaced it with a barb splicer for the fuel line to my tank.

If you want, you can ask for more pictures, and I can add them to the gallery.

and this screw is where you can adjust the idle

and adding the fuel injection line along the channel instead of using the stock fuel line which they give press fitting for it.
this is optional:
