Hello all...finally getting to the phase of my motor build where I can focus on the carbs. Car came with the twin Solex 34 carb kit from CB performance. I upgraded them with 28mm venturis and upgraded the main jets from 130 to 145. The motor is a 1776 dual port, stock head/valves, still on a stock exhaust (for now).

I noticed however that there is a missing bushing where the choke rod connects to the choke. I have included a photo of the one carb that has it, and where it is missing on the other.

Any ideas where to get one? CB performance does list some parts, but not these and any Solex 34 rebuild kits I have seen do not include these little bushings. I'm grateful for any ideas!

i dont know where to find anything original BUT seeing what your trying to do i think i could find something to work in my junk drawer . a piece of vinyl tubing , a grommet . i just think your gona have to make your own part ?

That's what I'm thinking also but...I thought I would ask.

I'm willing to bet if one got lost, I'll lose them again in the future. There are 4 total in this pair of carbs, and they just fall out when you take the rods off so super easy to lose them with any kind of tuning. So I'm thinking people must lose these all the time, and therefor (maybe) they are commonly available.

I'd rather buy some for spares if they exist than have to spend time making makeshift bushings...I just don't know that they exist.

Seems to be a common problem with the soled 32/34 carbs. I’ve had 3 or 4 of them that the bushing cracked and fell out of
