View original topic: 043 heads with blind rocker stud holes

I am replacing my rocker studs aftwer one (Scat) snapped right under the nut.
I initially used loc-tite and beleive me they weren't coming out without heat and persuasion.
A thought that entered my mind was to drill a very small hole out the bottom of the blind hole to alleviate the hydraulc affect of the stud going home with loc-tite on it.
Maybe I'm thinking too far into it.
Your thoughts.
Thx.

yeah, overthinking it, you can't really lose here.

Just put a one or two drops of loctite in the hole and screw it in.

Or actually you don't really need to put any loctite on it anyway, because, it can't leak if it's a blind hole.
So the problem really fixes itself either way.

Praise the lord they aren't the mexico heads that had heliciols and were open, that was a mess!
