Are the HD rubber trans mounts still of good quality these days or should I go right to Rhino mounts for my '72' bug's 2276?[/u]

I had rhino mounts on a car for quite a while and did NOT like them. Ive been running these 78 shore hardness mounts on multiple vehicles for quite a few years with success.

if you're going to be dropping the clutch or shifting really hard into second, you should look into a traction bar. A midmount is also a fantastic addition, as they can help with the rotational forces of the trans, but the traction bar is the single easiest/best addition for trans abuse.

What didn't you like about the rhino mounts? Also, do you know of a traction bar that will work with the A1 Sidewinder with peashooter tips? I've been looking & no dice so far.
