The N.O.S. 36 hp engines have arrived from Europe and were off-loaded from the
dock! I bought one for my '57 convertible and I'm really looking forward to installing this new old stock motor.

anyone know anything about these lights? there on my 57 2110 chop/rag top and im not sure the history or rarity of them. I belive the headlights are called "rossi". I know that both of the lights are from that time period and are original not replicated. Any history or worth $$?

This is a demonstration motor received by VW Dealers to place in their showrooms. It demonstrated the HP being changed from 25 to 36. The parts are all cut and it can be hand turned to show how it functions. It is an actual motor with no stamping on the block and was cut and has a numbered plate by Goff + Co. G.m.b.H No 305. This one was originally sent to Pacific Volkswagen Vancouver which no longer exists. The stand is the original display stand and it is in our frontroom .

Here's a different roof rack. The manufacturer is Eckel/Hercules but the manufacture date is unknown. Because of the suction cup style feet, it's believed to be a universial type rack.

An early grab handle for 1953-57 Beetles. The shape and "ribbed" design is similiar to "ribbed" bumpers for Split Beetles. This one was NOS until I mounted it into my late '55 Sedan.

Here's some early popout window hinge covers made of aluminum. Differs greatly from the '61-later hinge covers. No visible screws as these just snap in. These were sold under the Empi banner during the early 60s

VDO Kienzle clock that fits on the early Beetle rear view mirror. Made in Germany by VDO Tachometer Werk in '52 to '53 there are markings on the back cover that read, 5 jewels - unadjusted. The case is solid aluminum and measures 2 1/2" in diameter by 1 1/2" thick. The cover is held in place with (2) barrel shaped treaded bolts. This is a "wind up" clock, markings on the face read, Kienzle 8 Days.
