| I decided to make up a Blueprint of the 1600 VW Engine case. With this print I was able to install my own shuffle pins and locate oil squirters from the main bearings to the bottom of the pistons. The lower case dowel pin is the X & Y zero location point. All points are taken from that dowel pin. I compared my new case and my original 1966 case. I would guess the numbers are within +/- .005. I used my surface plate and height gage and my CNC milling machine to double check these numbers. Use at your own risk. I did it for my own interest only. |
