Those look really nice!
I would probably run a set on my 59 Standard If the price was right. |

I definitely could use a pair for my '49. Maybe two. Just to have a spare pair... _________________ Always on the hunt for pre 1950 literature and other rarities!

Hi Tomek,
there will be some restauration running. They need them. You will sell them 100 % but it will go a long time if you get your money back what you have put in. But when the form is ready you have it forever.

I am told you can buy the blades from here;-
http://www.veteranen-service.de/e/index.php
and I have seen repro over riders for sale in the classifieds, however because of the high cost I have plans to make both over riders and blades myself for my '47.
I will be interested to here how much yours will cost though in case mine don't turn out great |

Sure you can. I was hoping you "meant" '49 Standard and just typed it wrong. _________________ "What a fool believes he sees, no wise man has the power to reason away." Dobee, Dobee, Do |

hi.
There are a few interested persons from what I can see, nothing else doesn't remain for me how to get down to work. About effects I will be keeping the forum informed . About price , when I will know something more also I will let know. I will try to make them in lowest price and quality as best.
greeting
Tomek |

You should make as many as you can afford to make. Eventually word will get out and you will sell them all. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Like a lot of niche shops, I think Tom is trying to gauge interest/orders to see how he could price them to cover his costs. Like a lot of us here who make parts, this is kind of a make or break situation and common business risk. This is especially important for parts that have high tooling costs.
I do believe however, that asking who/how many would be interested without giving a cost range is pretty useless. At some point, a part will be become too expensive to buy for anyone. The sweet spot for price/volume for these kinds of parts has to be pretty low (volume) for it even to make sense.
If it were me, I'd test the waters further by asking those who say would need a set of these bumpers (not want), what range they would be comfortable with. Ranges might include "reasonably priced", "expensive, but I need them for my 40s split" and "forget it, I'll either make my own or bolt up something else".
Hopefully Tom has access to some reasonable fabrication resources and can pull this off successfully. _________________ John Henry
