I have seen pictures of the green canvas childs cot boot but was wondering, after some talk between a couple VW friends, if that was the only original way they were made? I have one I pulled out of a bus that I thought was original, but now I am guessing NOT. It is Dove Blue Canvas and I pulled it out of a bus a few years ago that had been sitting for years. | i have a very original 1968 Westy and it has that blue child's cot boot on the end of the cot when is affixed with the plastic snap strap above the closet, when not in use. i have never seen another, other than yours. Mine is blue and is plastic and not canvas...a rare item, i'd say. |

mmmhhh... very interesting thing... I thought boot only came in green canvas but maybe the very late models came in that funky blue vinyl....
any #VIN or westy tag #??
According to campmobile parts lists child cot boot started at westy #8187 so at 2/3 of its production.

My June 12 1967 SO42 non walk thru"67 model" has blue one 237134249
can post westy tag numbers tommorow

| Yes vinyl... right or wrong for the year. My 68 Westy has the blue vinyl boot at the end of the child's cot. |

Thats interesting, I think my blue one was out of a 67' so-42, but its going in my 66' Dove Blue so-42 
What's cool is it sounds like they were original , not after market made by someone's mom. Mine is exact to BulliBullets blue boot

It will be interesting to post westy tag toghether with the colour in order to trace where was the change from green to blue... if there is something logical behind all this thing...

we are getting closer...
wolfgang's bus VIN 237 129501 produced 25 may 67 has green boot.
carolinabusguy's bus VIN 237 134249 produced 12 june 67 has blue cot.
so maybe westfalia changed from green to blue between these 2 dates...
