Hi, I just got a BN2 heater for my bug but it seems different than any of the others I've seen. Mine has a four wire electrical connector and no on/off rod. The tag says: heizgerat typ bn2, ausfuhrung 20147201,
fabrik-nr. 7244, brennstroff benzin, spannung-volt 12, heizleistung kcal/h 2000, and it has vw part no. 133 261103. I've looked on the net and only found articles on what I'm assuming are the older type BN and BN2 heaters that have less electronics on them and the diaphrams mounted on them. Any Ideas? it seems to be in good shape but I'm lost

Thanks
Jason

CIP California Import parts used to sell diagrams for the heaters. Try them first. Second there is a guy who sells a copy of the Eberspacher guid on the Samba, look it up. And third if all that fails use me as a back-up to see if my manuals cover the later meeter pump style BN2 you have.

Good Luck and great first name.

OACDP (Obsolete Air Cooled Documentation Project) has the BN2 & BN4 VW workshop manual for 67 & up.
127 pages if you want to print the whole thing.
