I know this may sound stupid, but I don't want to hurt my car, or become a pancake.

Where do I put jack stands on the front of my bug? I'm replacing Tie rod ends today, and I only have rear jack points, so I'm curious about where in the front is a safe place to put the stands.

Thanks for your help!

From his signature line I think he has a Super Beetle.

The center of the front super pan is strong but i don't like the tripod style of three jack stands. It is not as safe as 4 stands.

Umm, the title of the post might have given it away as well Laughing

I use the front sway bar mounts.. got mine up in the air right now with cement blocks and some foot long 2x8's up front, jack stands in back.
(same vehicle - a '73 super).

Cheers,
Brad

No, a Super doesn't have a front beam like the one in the picture. Follow what perrib said, place the jack stands on the outer front corners of the pan.
