I'm wondering if someone has a king pin thrust washer laying around they could measure. Since the new king pins don't come with them I thought I'd have a friend make a couple for me. If you throw a caliper on it I just need the inner and outer dia. and the thickness. Or if someone knows of an off the shelf substitute that would be even better. Thanks.

Boy, those things are hard to come by! I had a heck of a time finding the two I needed a couple of months ago. I also thought of having some made, but had no dimensions. Finally found a pair. Wink
Today's your lucky day! I actually had the forethought to take a micrometer to those bad boys before I installed them!. I figured I might have to fab some up someday.
Here's what I came up with. All measurements are in inches and fractions thereof....not metric!

Outside diameter.............. 1.250
Inside diameter................ 0.733
Locator pin hole diam........ 0.125
Thickness......................... 0.145
distance from locator pin hole to ID........ 0.062
distance from locator pin hole to OD....... 0.055

Now, keep in mind that I am by no means a machinist. I did, however, try to measure this thrust washer to the closest tolerance I could manage. Also keep in mind that these thrust washers were originally available in many different thicknesses. The ones I obtained were perfect for my spindles and linkpin carriers....no freeplay.
Hope this helps! Someday, if you do have some made, maybe you could throw a set my way (wink, wink, nod, nod). Wink

Thanks man...you rule. A friend has a machine shop in his basement so I'm going to see if he'll teach me to make them so I can possibly knock a few sets off. That way I'll have a couple extras for me and to help out a few other people.
