Where can I get M10-1.5x30 bolts with a 14mm head? These are used on the rear wheel oil seal holders on my buggy. Can't seem to find these anywhere. These are KAMAX 10K.
If anyone has some for sale, please let me know. Stupidly stripped the heads on mine.
Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Part# 311.501.325
A quick Google shows used ones for sale at Aircooled.net and Karmannghia.com
Or I can get brand new OE VW bolts out of the classic centre in Germany. About $5 ea. _________________ sent from a phone using poor grammar and spelling |

Anyone know what the bolt is that connects your deck lid to the bus? Its a 78 trasport bus.
Takes one bolt on the left side.
Thank you in advance. |

Can anyone tell me what size is the front lower shock mount on a lower 64 or later trailing arm? I’m guessing 10mm but not sure of tread pitch |

The nut and/or bolt on my 73 Beetle's distributor clamp is stripped. Is there a standard nut and bolt size for a replacement, or do I just need to buy the whole clamp assembly? |

The bolt is captured in the clamp so it won't spin when you tighten the nut. If never tried to remove one, but I'd imagine it would be difficult to do and ruin the clamp.
Grab a new clamp. They are pretty cheap. You can get a OG one from the classified here.
The clamp just needs to be snug, not torqued down tight enough to bend the crap out of it or strip the nut. I find so many bent up and I can't figure it out. |

The bolt is a M6, not sure of the length.
if you replace the clamp get a original German and not aftermarket. The aftermarket ones are soft and then tend to bend and alter the timing.
If you can't find one locally, PM me as I have a bunch of them. _________________ Glenn

Does the screw that holds the points in a 009 distributor have a name, or size designation, to where I might find a replacement in a local hardware store? (The groove on the head of the screw is starting to round... and I'd like to replace the screw with a new one before trouble strikes!) |

I don't have a type IV engine, but I love bolts and thread sizes. Totally awesome!! I grew up in an old hardware store and sorted thousands of nuts, bolts and screws as the owner would have his helpers dump them in trash cans when they bought out a store. It would take me a full year to sort but a lifetime of education. Unfortunately the majority were US sizes still I loved it.

Anyone know the size of the bolt that bolts the exhaust bracket to the left side of the engine, under a 76 VW Transporter?
We had a super annoying engine rattle at 1500 rpm every time we changed gear. Turns out this missing bolt allowed the bracket to vibrate against the engine.
Thanks! _________________ 1976 VW Transporter, 2.0 FI Engine |

here is a question, what is the thread and pitch on the heater control knob on a 63 sedan? mine was damaged by my blaster. I have been unable to find much on this topic. |
I'd like to have this info as well. I've got a new control knob assembly and everything works great, but the new knurled cap nut barely goes down halfway (tried the old one and it's the same story). I'd like to chase the threads to clean everything up. This info would be greatly appreciated. _________________ - Most car projects are like stray dogs..you want to keep them all and never let any of them go.

UPDATE:
So I found out the size of said heater control knurled nut:
M20 x 1.0
Hope this helps. _________________ - Most car projects are like stray dogs..you want to keep them all and never let any of them go.
