Stahlwille! beautiful tools- probably the prettiest of all the german tools without any loss of function/useability.
I have a few including their front wheel bearing wrenches (spanners to us). _________________ the invisible and the non existent look very much alike |

Does the catalog show a list of what tools are included in the kit? Or could you list what's in it? I've not seen it before. _________________ 1969 Westfalia 1600 Single Port |

This is on a Split Window on display at the Shiftung VW museum. I have never seen one with this mounting method. It has a U shaped wire with threads on the end that fits around the hinge. It is very simple and requires no modifications to the hinge.
Any ideas who made these and what era?

Here is an original Volkswagen of America accessory…the elusive Car Care Kit that was sold in the early 1960’s. This one found in an antique mall in Oklahoma City a number of years ago. It was complete except for the polishing cloth and the touch up paint. Many of the contents were never used. Took me a few years to find someone willing to sell a bottle of the correct vintage/type of touch up paint. Still looking for an original polishing cloth – the one currently in the kit came from an auto parts store. Enjoy.

For a long time I have this set of small ceramic bowls in my collection. Now I have found an article about it in a magazine for advertising and graphics from 1956. According to this, they are probably small ashtrays that could be ordered as promotional gifts from the VW advertising department. They were designed by Hans Gebauhr, who also designed some of the beautiful VW posters from the same time.

I bought a later 70's Westfalia shop clock awhile back that was complete and in very good shape. I recently pulled out the old clock work and put in a modern quartz movement.
Looks nice and now hold the time perfectly.

I just bought this split beetle fuel gauge. I love it, but I was told it may be for 1949 and earlier cars because it matches thier speedometers better.
Does anyone know if there is a set like this for 1950-'52 cars?

Firstly, Love it, never seen one before.
Did pre '50 cars have the aluminium surround for the glovebox? _________________ ( ⫏ ⫐ )

I do not know when the deluxe beetles were first produced. I just looked though and 1949 beetles that I looked at pictures of do have the same speedometer. Deluxe '49's have the trims.
I looked at the box and there is no date, then looked at the paperwork and it is dated 1953 at the bottom and then it shows the fuel gauge (only) mounted in a zwitter/oval dash and states this change for October 1952.
This is the only one I have ever seen too, and I'm thinking these were only offered like this because of what the instructions show. I do wish this face matched the '49-'52 speedometer face though. This does match more to the earlier style speedometer face.
I still really like it though! _________________ Current projects:

Here is a bus Dehne gas gauge. Directions show how to install this in a barndoor gas tank only, but I do not know if it could be used in a later bus or not.
