I just learned that the Mexican efi end castings look nice, but are actually small diameter than regular end castings. Who knows, on a mild build the rest of the intake may help overall.
Any pics of hand made pict manifold center sections? Shouldn’t be too hard to make. How about more of a merged intake? _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

This carb is trash. For two reasons the idle jet seat was machined way to deep the hex part of the idle jet would bottom out on the carb body before it could seat properly plus the threads were extremely sloppy I used a copper washer to fix the seating issue but the threads were so poor it just came loose after a few miles of driving.
Second it was cross drilled incorrectly and picked up fuel from the (power fuel jet or fuel enrichment circuit). I believe it has a air bubble in the casting this caused a issue because it then used the enrichment tube as a air corrector so now the idle circuit had an air/fuel mix going thru the idle jet total sh!t show.
I'm using my standard 34 pict with a 29mm venturi. Ive tried 27 28 and found 28 is the way to go you get nice bottom end and more highway power the 29 pulls nice at speed but lacks off the line. |
