Sure, but the Cannucks get 25 to a pack! |
I haven't seen one of those in 20+ years, maybe still in Quebec, on the West coast it's 20 per pack. So ~$1 per butt. |
Wow.. A dollar a cig.. YIKES!!
I remember riding my bicycle to the 7-11 in the 1970's as a very young kid to pick up packs of cigarettes for my Mom. She'd call the store owner and tell him I was coming to get her cigs. Yup, a different time, for sure. True blue 100's was her brand and they took her down with lung cancer. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

OMG Don, Merits were the nastiest cigs, ever! I had a GF back in the day that smoked those. I'd have to be DESPERATE to bum one off her! _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

One of my first jobs in the middle 70's was working in a liquor store. Smokes were $0.59 a pack.
Why do I remember that???? _________________

I quit for 19 years cold turkey because I had small kids. When they grew up moved out and I got divorced I started again. It was a bad time for me. Now I can't seem to quit, I had throat cancer and still smoke. I was going in for surgery for my cancer and the anesthesiologist asked me if I ever thought of quitting. I answered. Look where I am. Are you kidding me?
I smoke in the shower. That's not easy to do. _________________ Paul.
