with regard to your original riveted rim question - looking through the forums shows that -
kronprinz (KPZ) wheels used rivets while lemmertz were welded

kpz riveted wheels were made into the 15inch years

My 01 March 50 produced L 11 pastellgreen Export 1-0 149 74x, still with cable-brakes, came with 5 original rims, all marked Januar 50 and all painted correctly L 16 hellgruen (brightgreen). 3 rims were welded Lemmerz, 2 were riveted Kronprinz. WOB mixed some parts at the lane from different suppliers. Next example on the same car are screws. The 4 secrews from the top cover of the (most probably untouched) original 22 mm shaft steeringbox came from 3 different manufacturers.
