hello,
i have an '83 gti with a compressor that is going bad. i know they don't sell that block type of compressor anymore.
does anyone know if i can somehow fit something else into there and what brackets i will need and if this is even possible?

| If you want to keep the A/C and you can't find a used one, then you could change it over to one from a mk2 golf or jetta. You'll need the mounting bracket and alternator and hoses to do the conversion. I've seen a couple people do this. Plus it will be a lot lighter than that old setup and easier to work on. |
