Thanks guys. Can you only buy Gene Berg shifters from Gene Berg, or are there other companies that sell them too? Wondering if they'd be a bit cheaper buying them from a dealer compared to buying directly from the manufacturer (despite the fact that Gene Berg's website shows an MSRP price and the selling price).
Edit: Just called around to a few places. It seems it's best/easiest/cheapest to order directly from Gene Berg.

Just ordered the Gene Berg 6714 with "off road" package and polished handle. The off road package was an extra $30 and they upgrade to the polished handle for free with the off road package if you want it.
There's a picture of the 6714 on this page:

It's not a trigger shifter, but I'm more interested in great shifting than the trigger I guess. I'll let you guys know how it works out. Can't wait to get it!

That is cool. Pretty expensive piece of hardware. Did Hot VW's review it, or was it just an advertisement for it? |

If you put a reduced throw shifter in a car with worn bushings it will only exaggerate the problem. _________________ OK Thang |

Well, I got my Gene Berg shifter the other day and I installed it right away. All I can say is, "WOW! It is the ShiizBAH!!" I was hesitant to spend that kind of money on a shifter, but I'm glad I did. It's really well worth the cost!

I never thought I could get excited about a shifter; now I know better. |
