I think that one is original.

I think the one that is in the Porsche museum is the replica.

Wow !! Shocked

Totally amazing...and the photos from within the museum will feed my dreams for years to come... what a cool place to be.

Please keep sharing this information with everybody...this is why museums exist and is a fantastic way to help educate the world about the history of our favorite cars!

I must plan a visit some day!!!

These are the original badges that were mounted on the front hood of the car.

that is beautiful. I wonder if they plan on painting it? Seems a shame to cover up all of that hand work that went into making those panels. Especially the new ones they made to bring it back to it's original shape.

is it possible to send me a high resolution scan of the picture? It would be a great help for measuring the stripe for the paintjob now. Thank you.

Where does the picture come from? have you got another one?

The body lines on this car are a work of art, I wish I had one parked in my garage to take out and putt around in.

...I'm writing your PM right now, I'll send it in a few minutes! The picture was for sale!! I only saw it LAST NIGHT, and tought it was too late to PM or contact you, because in case you didn't see your email TODAY, it was TOO LATE, the auction ended TODAY... And I didn't want to put the LINK here, because then MANY people might try to buy it... I did bid myself, good price, as I'm collecting Fotos and postcards for years allready, BUT I really wanted to send you a good scan then, I even wanted to BRING the real picture to the Museum myself later... BUT, the last seconds, another man, gave more for it... if he knew what it was, I doubt it??

PROTOTYP, please ask the SELLER to send you a good SCAN, if he can't, ask him to bring you in contact with the BUYER...? I hope it works... your PM and link will come in a minute, I'm writing you in German, ok?

SORRY there wasn't more time, if I saw it on friday or earlier, I SWEAR that YOU would've been the ONLY person I'd send a PM too, so that YOU could bid...

G.

dear G.

thanks very much for sending me the link. I will try to contact the ebay seller. Will post some of the period pictures of the car later.

The car is at the paintshop now and will be finished in mid february.

The organisers of the Retro Classic fair in Stuttgart will pick up the car then from Hamburg to present it together with the Berlin Rome 60 K 10 as a highlight of the March 2010 Retro Classic.
