|
|
Hi all. I have three single port heads I'm trying to find out what they fit so my FS ad is accurate. I think they are '60's era, but I'd like to know exactly. I believe the third one is for a '65?
Also can someone explain what is meant by square boss versus round boss?
Here are the basic pictures, there are more in my gallery.
211.101.373
113.101.373D
113.101.373
Thanks much! |

The difference between square and round boss is the block with the stud coming out where you mount the rocker. _________________ '70 ghia

I was asking about the manifold boss. They look to be shorter for the bus (211 part number) vs. the bug heads
Does the bus need more clearance for the air cleaner? Is there a corresponding 211 part number manifold?? |

The top head is a later 1500-1600 head with different style intake... the other two pics are as stated late 40 hp heads. |

Here are a couple more pictures of these. If I understand correctly, the 211.101.373 is a 1500 or possibly 1600 head but not necessarily a bus head? So beetle 1968-72? The intake opening is larger and does not have the raised part.
The other two have a smaller opening and a raised part at the intake. Thes are both 1965 beetle, 40HP? Does the D at the end of the one indicate later than 1965?
