Im fairly sure this is an army guy trying to pull some shit before they take off. I see a lady named Amanda trying to ditch some PitBulls with the same number.

anyhow.. just a friendly warning!

That sucks, could also be a civilian fronting like he's in the army. Scammers nowdays are pretty clever. I'll post that CL link on the local club site too.

This picture is from Rick Christensen's Notchback that I bought two months ago. This is a total scam. Hope nobody falls for it.

It is actually a local Killeen number as I can dial it without have to put 254.

I talked to the guy asking when I could go see the car. He said his unit was going out to the field for 2 weeks and he would call me when he got back.

asked him how he got Mike to sell him a car that he just bought a few months ago. He got a little nervous and cut the call short.

I might harrass him a bit more

This is your Notchback not Rick's. I just couldn't remember your handle. You are doing your part to make it yours.

your right, it is mine. i guess i was talking more about the picture that the dude used because it was a picture that was of the car when it was rick's and he had it for sale.
Thank god we had a break from the rain today. I was able to take the cover off and wipe it down. tried to put a new piece of rocker molding on but I am not convinced it is the wrong stuff. I think it might actually be a piece of the earlier wide trim.
Was able to replace the horn and now that is working.
Also installed my stock aircleaner that I got from Brian (vwfye) and it fits well. Need to clean it up still and paint it but I wanted to check to see if it would fit properly.

Hope this guy isnt able to scam anyone. What a tool.

I can't figure out how anyone would get scammed either. Wrong picture...but when you see the car...or there is no car to see.....its a done deal. Its not like you are buying it sight unseen....are you Shocked ? Ray

You go to a location to see the car, cash in hand, and you get jumped/ robbed.

Scammer tells you "I have loads of people coming to see it- PayPal/ Western Union me $100 to hold it for you" and gets 50 people to do this.
