if it aint broke dont fix it. when i started working everything i made went into the bike and I got tired of cheap parts breaking. Now it is top quality so nothing breaks. if only I could learn to do the same with my bug. |

I'm really leaning towards a decklid mounting rack, as strapping $800 bikes to the roof of a car makes me a bit nervous. |
sorry for the double post. but, your $800 bike is a 1/4 the price of my mountain bike. i wouldnt sweat it too much. _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."

That deckled rack looks like a normal rear deckled rack with a bike rack added to it then repainted the whole thing to blend in. I have a deckled rack that looks just like it minus the bike portion.... |

sounds more like your bragging about your bike than offering any advice.
3200 dollars is quite abit of money for any bike, I would love to see this bike if you dont mind posting a few pics. _________________ Ovals are Overrated.....Click to view image

if you notice my first post above my "double" post i put up a picture of the same bike as mine and i explained what im looking for. im not here to just brag about my bike.
but ill tell you what it is. its a Titus ML1. Kinda a collectors bike now because the company Titus Titanium closed down because they went under due to the new owners pissing off their clients. you dont piss off clients who are paying $3k-$8K for a bike. _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."

pOrk's understands! actually, with everything i have on my bike, its up to about 3500. my dads bike, also a Titus is of titanium, cost $6k! and its 20 years old! holly hell.
but back to my question real quick is there a roof rack for a 66 bug that will fit 2.35 tires or that something i'll have to custom make? _________________ "In case I don't see you, good afternoon , good evening, and goodnight."
