I bet that same auction is what the show will feature.
The show itself is pretty cool, his deep pockets find some really great rides most weeks. _________________ It's not how wide your hatch is, it's what you do with it.

I'm glad Wayne didn't mention any previous history of the car good choice on his part. _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow

This used to be shown on HD Theater. Velocity Channel, eh? I'll have to see if it's in my lineup (DC Metro FiOS).
w00t! Just found the channel, set it to record @ 5AM through tivo.com.
Gotta love technology.
edit: seems HD Theater changed their name to Velocity. _________________ Cheers,

| I'm sure the guy makes money doing something, but he always seems to come up short at auctions. We call the show "Losing Money on Classic Cars" in my house. |

So he had the Ghia shipped from California to New England then had it shipped from New England to California to make money auctioning it, and got a lot less than he expected.
Not sure I'd be comfortable with that business plan... |

This was my thought when I watched it. Not to smart for a car guy. I was so impressed by him I only watched the show once. _________________ Rick

I'm on the fence on that one. A DC isn't an early deluxe bus but at the same time it was extremely well done. If it was my bus I would have kept the original color and not applied the deluxe body moldings. _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow

What's nice about this show is that it isn't so ridiculously scripted like the rest of 'em. American Restoration, American Chopper, all that crap is hardly bearable to watch. |

I can't stand that west coast customs show and what they do to cars on there. I always quickly flip past that when it's on. _________________ 67 Convertible July 67 Yukon Yellow

Wayne is a car guy... he buys and sells. Of course the episodes that are filmed are meant to be sensational. Remember, because he's a car guy he's not really going to want people to think he's pounding those sales because the people who sell him cars or buy them from him will tighten up their offers.
When he loses money... we all are told about it but when he pounds a customer... well that isn't reported.
I'm sure his pounders are fewer and more far between but they still exist.
The guy is making profits and, I'd guess, pretty decent ones overall.
He also makes money on financing and consultant fees plus restorations. _________________ "I spud therefore I yam." |

Agreed. I think it all started with American Chopper...I hate that dramatic pause talk hand talk crap. All the reality car/bike gear head shows start to sound the same.
To the original post, I missed the episode _________________ It's not how wide your hatch is, it's what you do with it.

Don't get me started on the 'Reality' Towing shows... TRU TV should change their name again to 'The Towing Channel'.
Seriously, they have all these shows:
Operation Repo
All Worked Up
Lizard Lick Towing
Bear Swamp Recovery
South Beach Tow _________________ Cheers,
