In an old German magazine I have found the following advertising:

Apparently this device was designed to improve starting the engine at very low temperature.
Did anybody know something about it and how did it work?

Not for engine starting, they are improved pipes for the heater boxes to increase heat output in 36hp cars

Thank you for information.
I am living in a cold country, and I was considering to install an Ebespaecher on my '59 beetle. However, the Steely seems to be much easier to install: did anybody have experience of it? Is it effective?
