The aux tanks are from Martin in Germany. He makes some really awesome stuff. I have a few items from him and the quality is exceptional.

Just to be clear these are just auxiliary fuel tanks, not fuel cells. Fuel cells (mostly used in racing) refers to tanks that have a foam core that keeps fuel from sloshing around and helps keep it from squirting out of the tank should a puncture or tear occur. _________________ 1987 Syncro

Havent been to Pakistan. But I`ve driven car and motorbike in India (not in New Delhi, only in a town with 1.2 million people). Those decorated trucks are scary! People hanging out everywhere. Usually trucks and buses have their own screamer, a man who operates the horn and shouts at other people on the road... Not shure I would dare go to India in my camper. Love to follow their travel blog though! _________________ 88 Westfalia Club Joker syncro AAZ i/c

HIya guys,
nice to see such a thread evolve without any help
Jed: The van isn't completely "new" as you put it... it has been built in many years and been driven to Russia and other places beforehand... so not completely surprising, even though there have been some major changes recently.
About the gearbox: This is not the only heavy van, not a very string TDi, not being driven by idiots... and the gearbox (including th 4th gear) has been rebuilt 5000km prior to the failure So whatever you think about heavy and tuned up vehicles, this is not the reason. I reckon: Bad/Over-hardening. Been running more km after the repair than before already, no problems )
About the actual blog and the english versions... we are trying our best, but it is a real challenge. Internet s hard to find, been driving some... but we'll update everthing eventually. All in all the actual blog will be rather short, because: There will be a whole BOOK after the trip. I know know, I shold also write an English version... it's on my list, promised
Greetings from Agonda beach, Goa, India,
.martin + Sarah
P.S.: Thanx mb for updating this thread, we can't keep our eyes everywhere... I wish we had such a guy for each of the other Forums, too ) Volunteers?!
P.P.S.: The track has been updated to reflect our current position... http://www.easy2design.de/bla/reisen/tiger2asia-201112/ _________________ tiger2asia 2011/12 - http://log.tigerbus.de/reisen/tiger2asia-201112/
