I met this dude today in Maryland, our conversation got more and more interesting as he described the stuff he builds in UK. I am a firm believer is 'atmospheric assistance' rather than increasing engine size. What he has done with a puny 2.1 waterboxer is downright amazing. Be sure to watch the dyno videos - what a blast! Of course 638hp is not streetable, but certainly is quite a feat! He also is playing around with modified PD-TDI's and veg-oil systems.

Why not just make a custom set of wires with a Y splice in them. Then you could just run one distributor.

I don't think electrickery works that way

Yeah, it started out as just someone coming to pick up an old fiberglass bumper I was giving away...had no idea who he was until we started talking about engine mods and veg-oil TDI conversions... the guy has some great skills and will be living in MD soon.

Are you sure Marco will be living in the USA. If this is so then that will be great. Shipping to Jamaica from the USA is cheaper than from England. If he does TDI conversions, is this on the waterboxer engine. If this is so then my dream of having a FSI waterboxer has come true.

He's marrying a gal in MD. When I mentioned TDIs, it was in reference to running them on veggie oil, not engine swaps. But then we didn't discuss what he will be doing when he's permanently here.

Well that's what i wanted to hear, definite FSI 8 valve engine. I wasn't thinking about a engine swap but the fact that he can convert this to diesel is great. Secondly the engine needs nothing much for it to be converted ( combustion chamber ). Megasquirt should be able to run a FSI engine but i understand that you need a driver for injectors that handles large amounts of current.
