Don't know if it was intentional or not but you have the door handles upside down.
that one belongs to the other side door. |

Hahaha, yeah probably,
it's funny though, i never took the other one off, it was like that when i bought the car.
i left the driverside door intact to see how it al fits togeather.
it seems that the PO has had too many heinekens. _________________ THE BUILD http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php

Looks good! I'm restoring my 74 SB also and as much as I like those towelrack bumpers I'm trying to stay as close to original as possible, but after seeing what you did I'm second guessing myself. |

Did you scratch your new paint with the bumper putting it on?
My car has similar scars
I've learned wrap the ends of the bumpers in towels when fitting them |

the scratches are actually from a bike, my friend forgot about his passenger footrests. _________________ THE BUILD http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php

Great build so far!
My bug is satin black as well, garage sprayed though, by the previous owner. Love your rear bumper and all the chrome against the black. All my chrome is resprayed white, not so fond of that
BTW, are you putting speakers in the door panels? Have thought about doing that myself, just not sure how much space there is and where to run the wire.
Keep up the good work! |

Thanx,
and for the speakers, i was thingking of fitting the in the doors, but i like the clean look of the door cards, so i am going to mount them under the dash and in the back on the parcel shelf, i am going to hide the speakers and amp, i just like the look of a clean interrior. _________________ THE BUILD http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php
