Is the Tan door panels the same color Tan from TMI's web site the same color Tan as the seat from WW? If so then it would be good to order direct from TMI site for both seats and panels? |

The seat covers arrived and I'm really happy to report they're the correct style. Can't wait to install them!

Awesome! Thanks for doing the leg work. I can't believe TMI doesn't clear this kind of confusion up on their website with simple photos. _________________ Yet another person with a '66 project: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=526418 |

I would suggest calling WW after your order to make sure you're getting the correct TMI model. _________________ 66 Sedan L456 "Ramona" |

That is the best news I've had this week, thanks for sharing this whole process with us. The covers look awesome. A couple of questions:
How is the color match to the door panels?
Could you share pictures of the back seat? I believe you mentioned you bought the whole set.
I will put my order in tonight and call WW just to make sure I'm getting the correct covers too.
Thanks again! Please post photos when you install them. |

It looks like a pretty good match to my eyes. These are the best photos I could get tonight with no spare hands.

From what I see in the photos you shared it looks like a pretty good match to me as well.
In the photo of the back seat it looks like to basket weave correctly covers the whole middle section of the seat without a smooth panel in the center? That's good news too!
Can't wait to get mine ordered and delivered! |

Yes, I placed my order via phone and gave them the TMI part number from the photo you posted. He said he had two ivory sets left on the shelf and had received four calls about the 66 specific covers today.
Thanks again for the help you've been to those who prefer reproduction parts that are as close to original as possible. |

I have been trying to get pictures up for the past 7 months, Im barely making progress on this. Not because we wont do it, but because things come out of production and go right into the boxes.in order to get pictures, a set has to be made and installed and theres other project going on right now. _________________ Mario De Leon

I don't want to hijack this thread, but is there a way to clean original panels? I have two front panels but no rear. They are in sold shape but need glues back on the boards and pretty stained.
I would be ok with the not correct panels if I know the colors I could get would be close, The seats and panels. WW does not sell a 66 panel so what does everyone use?
Where does one look for original Balearie beige panels? |
