I'm thinking already for weeks it it is worth to drill holes in my USA bumpers (relatively rare on Dutch split busses) for these fog ligth's.

someone suggested to me to use those U- shaped license plate clamps that hang from the top bow that connects the over riders. this way no drilling required. not sure if it will work plus my lic plate needs to be there! i think i will wind up using 67 bug reverse light brackets as someone also suggested since i already have holes from when a previous owner must have had fog lights.

Drill it, you can always reweld the holes and repaint the bumpers later.

Seperate from the drilling issue: do you guys think the additional light's add to the look or will it lead to a "crismass tree" effect?
Think

I vote do...but don't be crazy enough to park anywhere where someone parallel parking in front of you can smash them. Went thru three sets of fog lamps in a year that way!! Evil or Very Mad

Do it! I like 'em. I did it. Drill it! Two little holes in the bumper is the least of my worries. Cool

My vote is do it. I dig the look. I am going to put a set on my Westy and my Notch Wink Already got the nice big 6" ones for my Notch. Plus living where I live they do come in handy. Sometimes you can only stay on the road by following the "fog line" Shocked On my Notch it's just a "look" thing, but on the Westy I would really use 'em.

I had the same question with my bus, I ended up going with a over rider tube mounted one. I love the look and I've used it a lot on country roads here in ORE. I am reconsidering a pair of bumper mounted lights though.

Do it, just mount them back as far as you can on the blade so they don't stick out.

I put some on mine to set it apart from the rest. Looks like this:

I couldn't bring myself to drill the bumper so made some backets that curl round the back and attach to the bumper irons.
