Announcement: As of June 4, 2012, all Vanagon-only events posted in the Vanagon Forum will remain in the Vanagon Forum. Celebrate, but keep reading.

Here are the rules:

1) Only ONE thread per event, this includes picture posts and caravans. Any duplicate threads (including "Who's going?"-type of threads) and/or photo threads will be locked or removed. Note: Recurring annual events, such as SyncroFillintheblank and Vanagons By The Whatever, are welcome to have their own topics each year, just not in duplicate.

2) If the event is posted in this forum, do not cross-post over in the main Shows/Event Forum, and vice versa. See Rule #1. If you are the organizer/original poster of said event, decide which forum you want your thread in before you post it. If your event thread has been posted in the wrong forum or gets incorrectly moved (or you want it moved), PM a moderator.

2a) If someone other than the event organizer starts a "when is Syncro-whatever in 2013?!" type of thread, the organizer will decide if that's going to be the main event thread. If s/he wishes to start a new main thread with all of the event details, please PM one of the mods and the other thread will be locked.

2b) Along the same lines as "2a", if dates for the event have been listed in the prior years' event topic, the moderators will split the topic into a new event topic. For example, if dates are posted for the 2014 event in the Syncrofest 2013 thread, all 2014-related posts will then be split off into a new Syncrofest 2014 topic.

3) This is for Vanagon-only events. For example: Syncrofest, Syncro Solstice, Syncro Safari, Burningvan, Vans at the Beach, whatever. Any other events that are not Vanagon-only, such as, but not limited to, "Who's going to Volksfest?" will be locked, moved, or deleted.

3a) Events that are multi-model shall be posted in the main Shows/Event Forum. This includes, but is not limited to, events such as Buses By The Bridge, Jerome Jamboree, VWs On The Green, etc.

4) Bickering and snide remarks over events will not be tolerated in threads. Don't have anything nice to say about an event, don't say anything at all.

5) Any and all events that are not Vanagon-specific, but welcome Vanagons to attend will have links posted in this sticky (please use them!). If any are missing from the list, PM a moderator to have them added.
