Very nice car! Short fenders, narrow skid plate, no jack point... I love the First Generation Kubel. What chassis number and/or month is this car? |
Thanks
Chassis number is 4407
I have to look at the birth certificate for the production date.

Some very interesting entries.... Herman Walter has obviously finished the resto of his amazingly early 1941 Typ60..... and Mr Toth is shipping his D&S over from Australia.... amazing! |

I'm going to be in Frankfurt the weekend of Bad Camberg. I was looking at taking the train up for the day. Does anyone know how far the show is from the train station? or the actual location? The location on the map the Lottermann's have published looks like the Google default for the town. |

Joszi Toth is living in the Netherlands, so he doesn't have to drive that far.
There are 2 D&S in Australia, but I don't think Andy Luzzi or Barry L will ship there cars to Germany.

If you leave a train at the train station of Bad Camberg, you can walk to the event gound. Just little more than half a mile downhill. _________________ Master of my domain! |

You have to click the tab "Unterkünfte" (accommodation) but unfotunately it's all in German.

Same here, looking at Hotels in Limbrg--Zur Eisenbahn or Alt Staffel hotel or Tulip hotel, also places in Idstein.
Is there a "Host Hotel" ?? _________________ Tom

I stayed at the Hotel Felsenkeller in Idstein in '07, it was very nice, only about 10 mins from BC. Not sure if there is an official host hotel.
This year I'll stay wherever the owner of the vintage VW I am being given to drive wants me to.....! _________________ John Henry

Alright everybody, about 5 weeks left to the show.
I am wondering who from you will actually be there (guests or really participating). Maybe we could arrange a TheSamba-meet? _________________ cheers, Mario
