Bob has very graciously put me behind the wheel of his original paint CB over SWR '58 23 window double door walk-thru Deluxe Microbus, so that I can haul Brian Holcomb and his son Carson, Tom Janisewzski, and Pete Frost around. We're pretty freakin' excited about that around here, by golly!!!

Bill and John, there will be four of us adults looking to bum a ride (preferably in a vintage VW) from BBT to HO on Friday. We were hoping to work something out at the BBT open house.

If anyone has room for us to hitch a ride or better yet, drive a vehicle from BBT to HO I'd love to hear from you.

Also looking for suggestions of where to stay Thursday night near BBT

We're very excited to see everyone!

I think he tries to roll out about 8:00-8:30. Usually the local TV station is there for a quick interview, then we jump in the cars and are off. Great fun for sure...

I wish we could but we're doing the tourist thing for a couple of weeks after and besides the TSA frowns on tent poles. Laughing

Yeah, recon that on the highway E17 to Antwerp there will be traffic jam around the Kennedy tunnel . It is every day the same song....TRAFIC JAM. From that point it is still about 35 km to BBT house.

I whould suggest to sleep in Brugges on wednesday and move over to BBT region on thursday and find something to sleep in that region. You gone mis the open house fever... Laughing

We're going to be there the week before as we're taking a long leisurely drive to hessech, stomping for 2 or 3 days a few times along the way, making a 2 week holiday out of it.

Anyone know if we can just turn up and pay at the campsite? or do I need to book? I've not booked any passes or anything as it had all filled up before we deff decided to go.

If you are in Germany the days before Hessisch - make sure not to miss this event:

DIE PETERMAX MULLER GADACHTNIS RENNEN 2013

www.petermaxrennen.org

This is a "period correct" navigational rally starting in the morning of the Thursday 20. June right outside the door of the PROTOTYP MUSEUM i Hamburg, about 2 hours north of Hessisch Oldendorf.

http://www.prototyp-hamburg.de/

Starting off on Thursday morning, you pass through 3 checkpoints on your way to the finish line in the centre of Hessisch Oldendorf. Perfect way to check out the "best museum in the world" as well..

Very exciting indeed and a fantastic start on a memorable weekend.

Hi, yes we'll very likely be there, tho not racing as will be in my 56 bus which is lowered and has a later engine. Tho we may well be loading up the roofrack with spares so friends who are taking part have some backup Smile

Thanks John. I was able to book rooms.

I'm still looking for a ride for two or possibly three people from BBT to HO.

Anyone driving a bus solo that has room for two and their luggage and would like to meet some new friends, I'd love to hear from you. PM if you have a chance.

Thanks all!
