I ordered the parts from Things Unlimited online on Thu Jul 20, 2006.
engine compartment seal, backing plate plugs, top of hinge caps.
I havent gotten anything yet, I guess i gotta check to see if i was charged.
I sent a email to Mr. Basso to cancel the order.
Anyone heard from him?

Perform a search on this forum. I think you will find your answer; may not be the one you are looking for, but it will answer your question as to Things Unlimited, and Mr. Basso.
Perhaps his business practice is traveling in the wrong direction at the world record free fall Captain Spalding posted on another thread (321 MPH I think it was). |

I for one am getting tired of hearing about Things Unlimited... The Better Business Bureau or Internet Fraud Agency or something like that needs to shut the web site down! End of discussion... |

I have read of buyers being charged at a later time and no product being shipped. Stop this at the source ASAP to protect yourself. Call VISA or whoever and block the sale. |

On the back of your charge card is a phone #. Call it.
Flat out tell the truth, tell your credit card company to stop and not to approve any future charges without your concent. They are our good friends! |

You only need to tell your bank who you gave your info to. Tell them Mike Basso or/and Things unlimited. |

If you placed the order on 7/20 and have not received anything then call Visa and see if it has been charged, if so dispute the charge. If nothing has been charged keep checking in with them every week to see if it has been charged. Also when you first call (and every subsequent call) ask them to make a note in your file that you called and the subject of your call. When you make your subsequent calls (if necessary) check to see that the log has been made.
Along the same lines, keep your own log with date and time called and who you spoke with. Credit card companies are usually very good in investigating disputed charges. If you have any problems shoot me an email and I will be happy to help. _________________ "The edge, there is no honest way to explain it as the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over." Let's just solve the Things Unlimited issue now.
Collectively, let's pool our money and buy the shop. Then let's start supporting it, selling parts, and making sure they're sent out in a timely fashion.
Half serious here. |

You think that is bad: check out some of the postings on Topica. Pretty bitter diatribe going on there...

I didn't trust the online order processing when I visited the website. I gave Mike a call and couldn't reach him. I knew it was a small business when there was only one person answering the phone and he was very hard to get ahold of. I kept calling and finally got ahold of Mike. I placed my order for new seat covers and components over the phone with him. They came a day early, so he got the shipment out the day I called him. You might want to keep calling until he picks up. It took me around 10 tries to actually get him on the phone. This was my first purchase from Things Unlimited so I can't say too much on the subject. My only advice would be to get him on the phone, don't trust the online ordering. |
