|
|
Greetings... I'm going to finally bite the bullet and install a new SVDA distributor to my dual Weber IDF 40's. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the vacuum hose from the dizzy hooks up to the Webers? I only see one port on the left (driver's side) carb for the break booster. Do I "T" into this one?
Also, another question: These IDF's (installed by PO) have both a filter and velocity stacks... is that OK, or should I run them with one or the other? If so, which would be better?
Cheers!

OK... i don't have any picts on me right now but I'll give you the best description I can off the top of my head.
On the Driver's side carb: Next to the #4 Idle Mixture Screw... there is a little post that sticks out just to the left I think. It will have a small screw threaded into it. Remove this screw and thats the vacuum port.
It's next to the Idle Mixture screw of the #1 on the passenger side.
You remove both of these screws... carefull they are tiny and are brass so if you drop them a magnet will not pick them up.
And you "T" them together to run to the SVDA. |

Cool... I won't be installing this until next week. Do you happen to have a photo? I don't know much about carbs, and there isn't anyone in my area who works on them, so I'm kinda afraid to mess with them because they seem to be running pretty good right now. So when I go to hook this thing up I want to make sure I'm screwing/unscrewing the correct things. Thanks! _________________ ----------
