No he isn't referring to an Eriba, since it looks nothing like a Bus cut in half. Gregg Potts in Canada has a trailer he made to look like a Bay window, and using a cut down Westy top.
And then there is this one...though it looks nothing like a Splitty top.

In Great Britain and possibly Europe also, if these trailors of more than 1·3 metres (i.e. 4'3") overall width, were created after circa October 1979, then they must be equipped with obligatory rear fog lamps, which must be capable of functioning, even when towed by an old vehicle, which of itself, is not obliged to have rear fog lamps.

I like the mini-bus green and white one. Funny how the mirrors were even left in place. Does it have windshield wipers, too?
Ya know, since the trailer demands power for lights, I wonder how tricky it would be to attach a generator to an axle to produce trailer power and charge its own battery... Of course, you don't get something for nothing, and the trailer would be that much harder to tow. _________________ John

A legal requirement for all trailers in Great Britain and Europe, which I noticed were not fitted to these trailers, featured from the USA or Canada, are large, triangular, red reflectors at the rear.
This Dutch one one has the triangular reflectors.
Trailors whose length (excluding the drawbar), exceeds 2·3 metres (i.e. 7'6"), must also have white, front-marker lamps.
Regards.

I've always liked it too. More on the "Double Dutch" bus and construction of it here:

Jamie Oliver's split-screen, VW Type 2 & kitchen trailer, was recently put up for auction, for which the anticipated price, was reckoned to be something in the region of £50,000. At only about one third of the average UK house price, this should be a mere snip for your average North American, what!?!
