So the decklid is reproduced, does anyone reproduce the light/brake mechanism?
(for the record my decklid is OG, just missing the mechanism) _________________ I own a copy of "The Car of the Century" by Garwood. This means I am authorized to act like a twat in thesamba forums. |

It's the first and only brakelight. Also known as decklid brakelight or center brakelight.
No repros that I know of.
You can use a reverse light bulb holder as the brake light bulb holder, but there is no liscence plate light that way.
Center brake light bulb holders are hard to find. The one in the Montana 56 was funky, and Greg ended up cutting some non conductive material out of a relay and re-riviting and supergluing it together. It works great now. _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

No repos that I know of. There is usually some fixable ones in the classifieds but nice ones are hard to come by. I had to settle for a nice later 57-58 style for my 55 when I was looking and im still looking for an early one.

That aint what your looking for, The real ones are not easy to come by and when you do find one be prepared to step up. There are two versions of it., Barn door and post barn door. _________________ CRG
