With the increasing trend of people travelling beyond their national borders and the risk of filling up with the wrong petrol octane rating (RON, MON or AKI, etc) or contaminated petrol, there is greater likelyhood of incurring engine detonation and/or pre-ignition.
The following link, is a summary of my thoughts and research so far, but I would be interested to learn from those who have experienced any of the issues I have raised.
