Im trying to set the bench setting for the Solex Carburators but I cant find anything anywhere. Does anyone have any idea what these settings should be for dual carbs?

edit: 1776 motor with compufire electronic ignition, bosch 009 distributor with electric choke on carbs.

More looking for screw settings like fuel pump, air mixture, air vent, and such. I cant get it to idle. and I dont have instructions because we bought it already installed by a person who really doesnt know how to restore bugs.

You should first make certain that your jetting is close. They come pig rich as sold by most. John at aircooled.net knows these well and for a small fee sets them up for specific applications; others just send them out the same as they received them. Call or email John. He posts often here and is very helpful. He does provide specific setup instructions for the ones that he sells and may choose to share that information with you.

All the jets are fine and everything is set right... we had a vacuum leak and the number 1 cylinder was not firing.... helps if the cord was plugged in correctly... it was a pain because the idle was high and then it started to jolt violently and thats the point where we took it all apart and figured it out. number 1 cylinder had shiny spark plug compared to others running brown. lol
