Shalako designer Dick Dean dies at 75

Dick Dean, the designer of the Shalako dune buggy, passed away this July at age 75. He had some health problems for a while. Of course prayers go out to his family. Mr. Dean was known as the king of chops. He was the backbone of Barris Kustoms for many years building the Munster Koach, Batmobile and countless others. He also gets credit for building the prototype "Super Safari" dune buggy. His list of accomplishments goes on. He will always be remembered and his legacy will continue to live on.
