It takes big balls to drag race with 3 lugs missing.

Reduced rotating mass, lower E.T.'s and increased sensation of speed!

Guess what: that hebmueller is also the real deal Dancing
It's the "teufelheb " Twisted Evil
whooohaa
And it's burning rubber all right Popcorn

Yes, some of those dutch speaking volkswagens can be pretty extreme...

But rest assure, I saw that dragster heb some 15+ years ago when it was still sitting sadly in seperate 2 parts (front and rear sections were cut apart right in the middle at the heater channel), so this one has really been brought back to the land of the living.

These cars were real barn finds in not too good shape, and this is hopefully only the first phase on the way back to their former original glory.
I hope that the heb and the rometsch will be restored to full original glory in the end, they deserve it as important part of the VW history. I bet that these 2 rare birds will be totally restored eventually cause they are too significant to fade away. But for kicks it's kinda cool in a freaky way that they have been raced for now. Think about it: who would have the balls to race a fully restored equivalent? Comes time, comes back the old beauty, when in the right hands!

Drag cars do crash.

It's a fact of life when you tie too much power and too much weight to the tail of an extremely light car.

^What you said. That car deserves to be restored, not thrashed on a drag strip.
