those wide 5 slots are Shocked Shocked Shocked !!! Are they wide - I remember seeing a set before and they were 6.5 inches.

The porsche ones are pretty slick as well!

My wheels are 5.5 inches. The one to the right is bolted to a 356B drum.

Here´s a set of 4 bolt wheels I saw at Bug Run in Sweden last summer.

These two sets are the only ones I´ve seen. I know of a set of 6.5 inch wide-5 wheels in UK on a green single pick up. There is not much info on these wheels, I guess you´ve seen this already http://hem.passagen.se/tobiasax/jp.htm

I know a guy in Sweden who has a set of JP Porsche bolt pattern wheels but I have never seen a set, great looking wheels.

686 bus-boy, are you going to polish your wheels?

I'm going to have the outer rim fully polished and the centre's will be bead blasted/textured ,more 'old skool' looking.I think having them all polished will not suit my bus,it will look to 'blingy'.Your right in saying there isnt much information available on them, the link you included is the only thing i found as well ! It would be good to know how many sets actually exist!!

They look real good like that.
VW's have a limited selection on wheels. Having something the others don't really makes your ride stand out.

An extract from Tobias Linback from the limited info on them - The company JP-wheels was started by a Swede with the name of Jack Possnert. During the 60's he lived in California and got introduced to light alloy wheels. He thought custom wheels would make a great business potential also in Sweden. In 1966 he got back to Sweden and started making cast aluminum wheels at his fathers foundry called Tunaverken in Eskilstuna. They were marketed under the name JP, taken from his initials. Thanks, Wink The spoked area was blasted for the texture and the etched, primed, silver sprayed and then finished with a matt lacquer,it does look just like blasted ally which was the effect i wanted but its protected now,the JP logo is done the same.
