|
|
Since a few days, most of the TEAM-Members of the event moved to Hessisch Oldendorf to work for the event.
Today, we brought the VW 38 into the old church next to the marketplace. The "holy grail" is now parking next to Jesus Christ and ready for public viewing. The local priest will pray about the old wrecked Volkswagen on sunday during the liturgy hour.
It is interesting how most of the people from Hessich Oldendorf shows this spirit of vintage Volkswagen. The gardens and houses were cleand, the gras and the trees were cutted and most of the local shops in the small city are decorated with "Volkswagen".
The wetherman says, that the sun will shine until july. So there is nearly no reason not to come...

So great to hear about all the support from the town. You are all working on such a great endeavour and I love reading and seeing your positive updates as they happen. Thanks so much for sharing! |

Nice workshop, once your clear out the chairs, but how are you going to get it out when it has wheels and fenders? _________________ 2000 M Roadster

That's fresh!
Just watch for the drunks spilling wine on it. _________________ I own a copy of "The Car of the Century" by Garwood. This means I am authorized to act like a twat in thesamba forums. |

It sure is a tight fit through those doors! I have to say the setting is unique and the exhibit lives up to the Holy Grail image. Good work guys.

Great pics! Counting down the days!
It's always nice to see that the local community is supportive and gets involved with our hobby.
Last weekend in Budel, The Netherlands you could experience the same. The people of the town are always very nice and they make it a yearly event for the whole village.
One local lady was even upset that the Budel team moved the entrance last year and now the cars do not pass her house anymore! |

Considering how badly the previous owners molested it, the Priests can't do any worse. _________________ 1968 Regatta Blue Squareback |
