She passed on March 30, 2024.

Ron Brewer, one half of the legendary South Florida “Paul & Young Ron” morning radio duo, has died.

Brewer, known as “Young Ron” was formally a host on the popular Big 105.9′s show since 1990 and had over 40 years of broadcasting experience.

In a post on X Thursday, his former radio partner Paul Castronovo said, “More on this tomorrow, but I just found out that Young Ron Brewer died. 28 years buddy and I’m heartbroken and crushed. Rest in peace old man.”

Mike Kolen, a linebacker on three Miami Dolphins Super Bowl teams, died Wednesday at 76.

His death was announced by the football program at Auburn, where he played from 1967 to '69 and was twice an All-Southeastern Conference selection. No cause of death was given.

Thanks Ray for posting this. The YouTube was fabulous and worthwhile to watch the entire video. In college I was in the middle of the transition from typical Industrial Arts (shop teacher) to Technology Education (more about solving problems with tools). I loved the unit on teaching kids to make these rockets from layers of paper rolled to perfection and creating parachutes from recycled plastic sheets. We even built safe electronic launchers with long leads to keep kids far away during launch. Now my curriculum has little wiggle room to cover this unit but I am inspired.
