all the mirrors are mounted in the original area on the door.
kind of hard to see the mirror if you have a helmet on.
most pre-runners and racers mount it higher.
just my 2 cents.

i think a lot depends on how the cage is also designed. i've seen a lot of race cars with a vertical tube in the window that might block some view if the mirrors are mounted low and not high

I like this one also. If you can make R & L for $40 or less each I would buy a set.

I know its not protected, but a bus mirror gives a good rear view. works with the stock mount.

When I'm done painting and mounting these, I think they will challenge for the best looking...

Sxuxrxf makes some really nice stuff.

Im pretty jealous of his fab skills. I would buy a set as well but I plan on learning to weld and making my own, something about the one of a kind "I made that" proudness.

Too kind. Embarassed
I also like the one-of-a-kind factor to things that I make, which is why I don't make more of any given item. Usually I decide on something that I think will be cool and a little different, but that also means more of a pita to make.
I also get bored really easy. It's fun to go through the process of turning a thought into reality...the 1st time. After that, not so much.
