I'm finally putting swivel seats in my syncro, but am having trouble locating the lower swivel seat bushings.

The bushings are the black rectangles near the 12/3/6/9 o'clock positions in the pic below.

Can anyone point me to a part number and/or a source for these bushings?

same stuff I use also for the sliding door

Grease won't keep the platter from rocking, you need the glide blocks. I got mine at VC a couple years ago, P/N 251 881 320, they should still have them but I can't find them on the site.

Unfortunately I believe that part is NLA. I got a couple from Bus Depot last year and now they do not show up on their site either.

I'd have to pull a seat to look at them but IIRC they are a pretty simple part. Maybe cut some out of delrin or similar slippery plastic?? Just a thought.

The only trick would be the little tab that snaps into the body to hold it in place. Some high strength adhesive would probably work with a piece of similar material.

I'm in if someone makes a run of them. Otherwise we'll have to figure it out ala sc-surfer's suggestion.

Ya, pretty much what I was thinking of. Can't remember the name of that plastic, but it's good slick stuff. May even outlast the OEM. We use it as a low friction surface for tool decks and fences. Works great. I hadn't considered the countersink screw idea. Are the pads thick enough? I thought they were a 1/16 - 1/8 of an inch thick, but I may be mistaken.

In the UK we've just started making our own - both top and bottom bits.

Cool...but at £40 + vat per seat set before shipping, that's like $62 dollars a set. Glad you guys are making them, but even more glad mine are still good. Shocked

Hi ya volks! I have this type of seat mounted in my bay window and now know that these parts are NLA thanks to all of you. I have a friend that manufactures many thinks like this and he said he could make them in the US for a fair price. Would any of you be interested? I need 2, and I will have to send one of my 2 to him for mapping and prototyping. Let me know, they will be less than $10 ea for sure. I think $6 is a doable price and they would be made out of delrin.

Of course! I am half way through putting Recaro seats in and should replace them while I am at it. I think everybody should stock up.

I read on the Club 80-90 that there may be another iteration of this part.

Any ideas? Are there two versions?

I have only seen the one with the p/n or 251 881 320. My friend says he can have them ready for sale about 2 weeks after he gets my example. Smile

I'll take 8 Cool

I'll post a reply to the forum and here when they are done. He has had mine and I think will have them by the end of the week. He is making a first run of 100 to make sure everyone can get some and that the cost is kept low.

I'd be interested. 4 per seat, right? I'd sign up for an 8-pack just to keep around.
