Hi everyone!!!! We are happy to announce the newest VW club in Los Angeles and Orange County area in California!!!!

"BUS FREAKS" is a club for Volkswagen BUS enthusiasts!

We welcome avid fans and owners of Volkswagen BUS ranging to 50's, 60's and 70 year models!

Old school owners....newbies....hopeful owners... or just avid lovers of VW BUS are welcome to join our club!

We greatly appreciate the structurized design and look of this classic and wants to share this appreciation to those who share same interests.

Eventhough, your BUS looks rusty, new, restored, or just plain old school original.... you are welcome to join us!

Let us all talk about how great this structurized type of vintage vehicle and learn from each other's stories, and magnificent experiences with it.

We are a new club in Los Angeles CA USA and also hopeful to gain friends & families locally or even internationally, in celebrating our unique appreciation about this magnificent machinery.

If you live around Los Angeles or Orange County CA area or not..... you are welcome to join us and sign up to be a member of our club!!!!

To sign up, just inbox us your email address and we will update you about our current events, activities, bus meets, camping/beach activities, bus cruises, and barbecues!! We will update you on our local VW BUS meets, VW BUS shows and events locally! We can all camp and enjoy BUS shows together as a group! FUN! FUN!

There is no fee of charge to be a member!

Our main goal here is.... to gain, and meet great friends who share same interest and love for VW BUS and are also proud to be called..... "BUS FREAKS"
With the spirit, admiration, love and energy that we all have for our BUS, together, we can all have FUN!!!!

Some friends and families of mine are also clueless about the rarity and classic stature of VW bus around. However, as time passes by and I keep informing them about it, the more they appreciate the classic quality and beauty of it HAHAH... tell your wife that maybe she can consider joining!!

I thought of forming a club here in LA/Orange county since there's not as much VW club around here. When I bought my first bus this year, I had so many questions that I needed answers in restoring it and I had limited knowledge about it. I figured a club would be nice to have available to share common knowledge and interest.

So, you're restoring your bus? what year is it?

My son struggled when he had to restore his deluxe bus. He ended up selling it. I was mad he did.

HI mark!

I have been wishing and hoping for a BUS for years.... and finally, I saw the love of my life..... a '67 Bus last 3 months ago and bought it from this lady from Santa Rosa CA who had it for 10 yrs.

Body and interior are still intact and it has this original headliner made out of wood which presents an even more vintage look. However, rusted on some interior parts most especially at the floor panel and rear trunk/ luggage area.

A lot of work and money to spend for sure I tell family and friends to nominate me at "Overhaulin" show in TV, so I wont have to do the work and spend the money!!!!! Mine needs serious pimpin' out.... hahaha
I think I need to change my forum post to "NOMINATE ME FOR OVERHAULIN" SHOW on TLC now! hahahah

Hi jenn.

Your story of finding your love of life is great. My daughter would not be wanting a BUS for her birthday or for any occasions at all..... she would want gift cards from Macy's or something. That's neat!
Seems like you have a handful to do with your bus and I wish you good luck. I usually see that overhaul show once in awhile and MAN!!! those people got it going on!!!!! I think you're not the only one whose wanting to be nominated for the show jenn!!!! Many are wishing the same thing........ Im actually writing one post here in samba right now for people to nominate me as well!!!!!!! hahahahahaha

Where do I sign up? Seriously, this sounds like a great venture, should be a blast. Where abouts are you located in L.A.? WHere will your meetings be held? Hopefully we will see you at the Classic. You should consider camping out at the new Black Star location out at Prado Dam Recreation Area, it is going to be much better this year and the folks that put it on are the best.

We are still new and in the process of recruiting more members!! And we still haven't finalized on where to bus meet. But we are stationed here in Cerritos CA area and most members are from South Bay, Long Beach, Buena Park and OC.... We are arranging and lining up sponsors to help us advertise our club at the moment too.

We will certainly be at the Classic and at the OCTO show!!! And, I just looked into your suggestion about the Black Star..... I will let the rest of our members know about it and see if we could camp out to meet some more BUS freaks there!!!!

With all the stresses and worries we have day to day, one thing that may help us release this tension is providing time with our passions in life and having fun with it!!!! And, this is what BUS FREAKS! is all about!
There's never a dull moment when you enjoy what you do and you share that same energy with other people!
