No, forged pistons cost a lot more than that!
But these are:

My buddy runs 12's on those at about 8200 rpm at the top end. They've lived for 3 years in drag car with over 200 passes a year. Seem to be working alright I guess.

I love how they say "manufactured in China, inspected and assembled in the USA" I guess the mean putting them in the box.

I know these piston and sleeves had a problem with the wrist pin boss pulling out at high RPM, but have they fixed this issue.

I'm fixing to try them as Mahle 94 B's are non-existent right now. Sounds like they should be fine for your application.

From my research, it seems that there was/is a lot speculation on whether the piston to bore clearance was correct on the failed units. Read quite a few discussions about this over at UltimateAircooled, and DRD told me the same thing. Quite a few other folks have had good luck with them at the same time and many more since.

All of the failures seemed to fit in a tight time frame, and they were all on pretty high strung engines.

I'm confident that they will be as good or better than the Mahles for me. I'm building a 2276 with Steve Tims Stg 2 and the CB 2288 (K8 ) cam.
